In Digital Studio in our digital hub, we build and deliver business software solutions and we’re looking for a new Test Techlead.

The Test Techlead plays a vital role within our organization, embodying a fusion of in-depth technical expertise, sharp problem-solving skills,and committed leadership. This specialized role centers on steering the technical aspects of our testing processes, with a primary focus onimplementation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. As a Tech Lead in Test, you will be responsible for crafting robust and effective test frameworks, implementing automated test scripts, andensuring that the team delivers software that upholds the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your work will be instrumental inmaintaining the integrity of our products and fulfilling the expectations of our customers.

We’ve been building and deploying our solutions for some years now and we’ve been through some different approaches to testing at alllevels which have left us somewhat fragmented with a need for a consolidated and upgraded approach.We’re in the process of adding support for feature toggles so that we can roll out and test features in production and we want to be able todeploy as quickly as new code is available - but we need our testing from bottom to top and end to end to be completely automated so thatwe can do automated deployments.This is where you come in!

- Monitoring and Reporting

What we need to see:

Years of experience as a software developer in both backend and frontend - not necessarily a “full stack” engineer but the broader your experience the better

- Experience as a software developer in testing

- API First Development and Test First Development practices

- Experience with multiple languages like Java, TypeScript, Python and scripting languages

- Communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable clarity and trust at all levels with a proven track record ofinfluencing and driving delivery across multiple teams with a firm hand

- Experience using

Atlassian Confluence and Jira and possibly even Compass

GitHub Workflows and Actions

Using DataDog to monitor CI and testing

- Testing frameworks:

We use RobotFramework for backend (and some frontend), but we’re not sure it’s the best tool - help us decide

We have some tests done with Cypress - we’re also not sure if that is the best tool

Should we use Cucumber and Gherkin?

Contract and integration tests - we have API Specifications in OAS and we need to take that to the next level
